Learn About the Future of AI and Machine Learning at Banks

How can banks extend products and services beyond the usual offerings? And how can banks plug into fintech companies or even competitors to bring more value to customers? These are some of the questions that interest Alex Jimenez and that he will be addressing in the panel. There are many industries where platforms have replaced the incumbents. That isn’t happening yet in American banking, but this approach may allow banks to better serve their customers. In order for traditional banks to survive into the future, they need to figure out what value they bring, particularly in the digital world. The reality is that US banks are very risk-averse when it comes to compliance, making innovations like platformizing banking less ubiquitous than in other places. For example, fintechs often serve emerging markets because traditional credit checks and authenticators don’t apply. And in Europe, open banking has caught on as a result of the EU PSD2 regulation. Necessity has truly been the mother of invention outside the States. But US banks should keep learning about the different applications of AI and machine learning, and find ways to digitally transform typically cumbersome sales, onboarding, ID verification, and security processes. This will ensure that US consumers will continue to find value in their existing banks. Watch Alex Jimenez speak on Finovate TV here:

"Great Service and Product"

I love the fact that I can send or request documents from a customer and it is easy to get the documents back in a secured site via text message. Our company switched from Docusign to Lightico, as Lightico is easier and more convenient than Docusign, as the customer can choose between receiving a text message or an email.
