RBS in partnership with Vizolution, have won the Silver Award in the 'Business Transformation or Change' category at UK Business Awards 2020. The UK Business Awards (UKBA) recognise the finest accomplishments from the world of British business.

In 2019, RBS deployed Vizolution’s vDoc technology to create a customer-centric, digitally-enabled bereavement journey, giving customers greater convenience in terms of how they interacted with the bank, during what is likely to be a challenging time.

Implemented across all channels, the portal gives the customer choice in terms of how they interact and how much human support they would like, as well as significantly accelerating the process by digitising document exchange.

The judges were extremely complimentary of the solution that RBS and Vizolution have implemented. Judge Janine Woodcock, Founder and Managing Director of Zingg, commented "it's great to hear the sensitivity with such a challenging area is handled".

Rogan Hounsell-Roberts, Director of KR5 Consulting, remarked "I think it's fantastic. It's one of the big pains isn't it...closing accounts for the deceased, so making that easier is a benefit to society in general".

The bereavement process for customers is now 100% paperless, with average journeys taking just 4 days (compared to 27 days in the previous process).

This marks the second time Vizolution has been recognised by the UK Business Awards, replicating the success of 2018, when we again won an award in partnership with RBS for our paperless mortgage deployment.
